How to order prescription glasses online?

Please select your frame and colour choice and choose the prescription option.

Once you have paid for your spectacles we will email you to confirm the order and we will ask you to send an up to date copy of your spectacle prescription.

Once we have received this, we will process your order.

How do I send my prescription details in?

Don’t worry, once you have chosen your glasses and checked out, a helpful member of our team will contact you. We will send you a link, from here, you can attach a copy of your prescription.

If you don’t hear from a member of our team you can get in touch with us on lab@yoovy.co.uk.

Where can I find my prescription details? Where can I find my PD?

After an eye examination you will be issued with a copy of your prescription. You would need to ask your optician for the PD measurement, if not we will calculate this for your spectacles.

My prescription is out of date, can I still order from Yoovy?

You can order glasses providing your prescription is still in date (most prescriptions are valid for 2 years from the date of issue).

If you do not have an up to date prescription we recommend another eye test so you can get the most out of your Yoovy glasses.

For any questions about your prescription, please email lab@yoovy.co.uk and our in-house optometrist will be in touch.

Are you able to provide spectacles for all prescriptions?

Our policy is to fulfil all orders up to +/-3.00DS and +/-2.00D of cyl. We will not provide prism in spectacles and we provide single vision spectacles only ie: prescription for distance, intermediate or near.

My frame is slipping and not fitting properly, can I get it adjusted?

We currently do not have any optical practices to offer adjustments on frames.

How can I measure sunglasses size?

All our frame measurements can be found on the website in the product details.

Discover more about our variety of spectacle and sunglass sizes.

How should glasses fit?

They should be a comfortable fit on the nose without leaving marks, and rest well around the ears. If they are slipping down whilst wearing, they will need adjusting behind the ears.

How to adjust glasses bought online?

All our Yoovy eyewear is pre-set to standard fittings.

If you find that they are needing an adjustment, please seek assistance from a local optician.

Sunglasses Questions

What are polarised sunglasses?

Polarised sunglasses offer a filter system which only allows vertical light rays through. Therefore, they eliminate light reflections from horizontal surfaces. This will reduce glare from a wet road, reflections off water/snow and so enhance the image that you see.

What UV protection should sunglasses have

The highest UV protection rating offered is UV 400. You should choose sunglasses that block UVA and UVB rays to maximise protection from UV exposure.

How to check sunglasses UV protection

When shopping for sunglasses, ensure they provide UV protection by looking for the CE or UV400 mark on the frame. Yoovy use Essilor to produce the lenses for the sunglasses and their inhouse checks ensure they are providing the required UV protection. Essilor Ltd has attained ISO 9002 and ISO 9001:2000. The CE mark signifies that the sunglasses meet the EU's health, safety, and environmental standards.

If you’re uncertain about the UV protection of sunglasses you wish to buy or already own, our in-store team is here to help. For online purchases, always review the product description to confirm UV protection details.

Do sunglasses always have UV protection?

Although UV400 lenses provide superior sun protection, not every pair of sunglasses includes them. It's possible to purchase dark-tinted sunglasses (categories 3-4) that lack sufficient UV protection. For example, fashion sunglasses may appear both stylish and protective, but they don't always shield your eyes from harmful UV rays.
